Contact Us

Email: support_team@mechatronics.studio

We're a small studio and read every message. We aim to reply within 2–3 business days. When you write in, it helps to include:

  • the version of Relief Stack you're running (find it in Relief Stack ▸ About);
  • your macOS version;
  • a short description of what you were doing and what happened.

Please don't send images of identifiable people or any sensitive material in a
support request — a description or a screenshot of the issue is usually enough.

System Requirements

  • macOS 26 Tahoe or later
  • An Apple-silicon Mac
  • For live capture: a built-in camera, a connected webcam, or an
    iPhone via Continuity Camera

Getting Started

  1. Capture — import a photo, model, or use live capture to pull depth straight from your camera.
  2. Compose Relief Stack estimates depth on-device and lets you shape, paint, and adjust it.
  3. Outline draw paths to trim your relief into a square, circle, or any arbitrary shape.
  4. Blend your relief- add thickness to your relief surface or blend it with 3D models.
  5. Develop your output — export your model in many file formats and simulate how it will look when 3D printed, machined, or laser engraved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Relief Stack send my photos or projects anywhere?
No. All processing — depth estimation, shaping, mesh generation, slicing, and
editing — happens on your device. Your images, depth maps, artwork, and
projects are never collected or transmitted by the app.

Live capture isn't working / the camera is black.
Relief Stack needs camera permission. Open System Settings ▸ Privacy &
Security ▸ Camera
and make sure Relief Stack is enabled, then relaunch the
app. If you use Continuity Camera, make sure your iPhone is nearby, unlocked,
and signed in to the same Apple Account.

Which file types can I import and export?
Depending on the stage, you can import images, 3D models, and depth maps.
You can export STL and 3MF models, depth maps as PNG or TIFF, and sliced curves.

Can I sync my projects across devices?
If you enable iCloud, your projects can sync through your own iCloud account
so they're available on your other devices. You can turn this on or off in the
app or in your device settings. Your content stays in your Apple account — we
don't have access to it.

The app feels slow or runs out of memory on a large project.
Relief Stack works at high resolutions, which is demanding. Try closing other
heavy apps, working at a smaller output size, or quitting and relaunching. If a
specific project reliably causes trouble, please email us and describe it.

I found a bug.
Choose Report Bug… from the app menu (under About). It opens a pre-filled
email so you can describe the problem and attach your own files — including a
saved project — if that helps us reproduce it.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Relief Stack offers both one-time purchases and subscriptions through the App
Store. Purchases are handled by Apple using your Apple Account — we never see
your payment information.

Manage or cancel a subscription

  1. Open the App Store app and click your name (bottom of the sidebar), or
open System Settings and click your name, then Media & Purchases.
  2. Go to Subscriptions (or Account Settings ▸ Manage).
  3. Select Relief Stack to change or cancel your plan.

Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the period
you've already paid for.

Restore a purchase
Reinstalled the app or switched Macs? Open Relief Stack's purchase or settings
screen and choose Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple
Account you bought with.

Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Request one at
reportaproblem.apple.com.
